Chemocare treatment summaries are now live in Great North Care Record (GNCR)
Since Monday 16th February 2026, treatment summaries for patients receiving active Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment at Newcastle Trust, Northumbria Trust, North Cumbria Integrated Care Trust & Gateshead Trust have been sent into the Great North Care Record.
The ‘Chemocare Treatment Summary’ will appear in the Clinical Correspondence widget. A new Chemocare Treatment Summary document will be created every time a new line of treatment is prescribed to a patient under a new programme of care.

This treatment summary document automatically updates itself as the patient progresses through their specified treatment and attends for appointments. All patient treatment notes and alerts from Chemocare will appear on the first page of the summary, followed by patient’s programme of care, diagnosis and treatment information on the subsequent pages.
The ‘Date Completed’ on the widget is the date which the document was created. When the treatment is updated on the ChemoCare system, an updated version of the document will appear in GNCR. However, the ‘Date Completed’ section will not change.
If you have any queries or issues regarding these new Chemocare treatment summaries, please get in touch with the Chemocare System manager via our shared mailbox – nuth.pharmacysactems@nhs.net
